Reviews
Definitely not our usual breakfast experience. We are usually fairly traditional when it comes to breakfast. Bacon, eggs, homefries, toast, perhaps a veggies omelet.
This place had that but so, so much more that is just too good to resist!
I ordered The Pig Pile and DH had The Barnyard.
Both are served in big bowls with cheesy hash browns stacked with other yummies like bacon, eggs, chopped sausage or the homemade sausage patties (yum). Then the pour sausage gravy over it all.
So damn good. I was only able to finish half my bowl (DH devoured his). I had to save room to try the pumpkin pancakes and the baked apple pancake. So tender, hot, and delicious!
We also ordered a side of the corned beef hash which was great as well.
Glad we got there shortly after they opened at 8am as it was mobbed when we left shortly after 9:30.
There was a wait (about 15 minutes) but totally worth it.
Would definitely return again.
We were told we would have a 20-minute wait to be seated. We were sitting down in about 6 minutes. The food was spectacular, and the service was amazing. The atmosphere was nice, only downside, the chairs were not comfortable... had it not been for the bench butt, would have been 5s across the board. I will absolutely be back and hope to get Renée as a server. She was just awesome.
My fiancé and I are extremely impressed! The service was spot on. The food was out of this world. Their hash brown Pattie’s are nicely shredded and paired with cheese, they are to die for. If you love a good breakfast sandwich with hearty fillings but hate when they fall apart, have no fear. Their sandwiches hold the fillings inside so you have a great bite every time. They are also gluten free friendly! I have celiac and I was so pleased with the amount of options they offered. PLUS, they have a full bar set up! Can’t go wrong!
The food was delicious. I got the corn beef hash omelette. It was real shared corn beef, eggs were delicious and the potatoes were little red ones with the skin still on. Or did came out within a few minutes of ordering. All the staff made sure we had full coffees or anything else. We will definitely be back.
Found this little gem by accident. We were going to another diner but it was closed Mondays & Tuesdays. Here we are, 4 big men looking for a decent lunch. The seating was prompt, the server just as fast and polite, took our orders and in no time we were eating well prepared, fast delicious Cafe food. To be honest I did ding them half a star in price BUT I get it, times are very tough and even so they got a 20% tip from me. The empty plate is a testament to good food!
LOVE PEACE AND BACON GREASE!
Another great meal at The Riverhouse. Consistently excellent food, service and atmosphere!!! I had corned beef and eggs, honey enjoyed the smoked brisket bennie .... both were outstanding! Delicious fresh squeezed OJ, coffee and tea! Perfect!!!
Over the past couple years I’ve heard nothing but good things about River House Cafe so I figured I’d go finally try it. The kitchen absolutely delivered. The brisket stack and pancakes were delicious. We will definitely be back
Smothered burger, if you love bacon, mushrooms, swiss. Southern fried steak, if you like home cooking!! And of course we had to get a buttermilk cake. Everything is extremely fresh! You can tell it is made with love. Our server was the sweetest! Super fast service! Super fresh food! 10/10 highly recommend!
